We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) with fresh ideas for a full-time position. Candidates must be committed to creating a supportive, friendly, professional environment and comfortable working with children in a fast-paced setting. For this position, the Occupational Therapist will also be part of TJI's Quality Team. They will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing the implementation of our agency's quality assurance plan for Occupational Therapy. While experience in early childhood, pediatric, or school settings is preferred, it is not required. We encourage candidates who are interested in this position to apply.


Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist at Journey Intended is responsible for planning, evaluating, organizing, and conducting pediatric occupational therapy sessions to facilitate growth in sensory-motor, self-regulation, and fine motor development. The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will use therapeutic techniques to help children achieve their treatment goals, improve skills, and gain independence in a home care or preschool setting. The OT will develop treatment plans and monitor progress for each child on their caseload. We are looking for engaged therapists to provide itinerant services and evaluations for children ages birth to 5 years throughout Western New York. This position requires the use of sound clinical judgment, well-developed communication skills, an understanding of Early Intervention Regulations and CPSE regulations and all related paperwork and reports, and the ability to work well with coworkers and families of children. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills to consult with the children’s parents/guardians.

Education Requirement:

Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy

Required License/Registration/Certification: 

Current New York State Occupational Therapy License

Registered as an Occupational Therapist in the State of New York

Additional Requirements: 

Valid Driver’s License
